What we collect

We collect information you provide directly — your email address, website URL, and any content you upload as knowledge sources. When your embedded assistant receives visitor messages, we store those conversation logs on your behalf.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate the Chirpy AI service: powering your assistant, generating embeddings from your knowledge sources, and showing you conversation analytics. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Third-party services

We use Supabase (database and auth), Anthropic (AI responses), OpenAI (embeddings), Resend (email), and Stripe (billing). Each operates under its own privacy policy and data protection agreement.

Shopify integration

If you connect a Shopify store, Chirpy accesses your store data through Shopify’s APIs so your assistant can help shoppers: product and inventory details (to recommend products and check stock) and, where you enable it, order information (to answer “where is my order?”). Order lookups include limited customer data such as the name and email on the order.

We process this data solely to answer that shopper’s question, and only the minimum needed. An order’s details are revealed only when the shopper provides an email that matches the order. We do not retain Shopify customer personal data — it is fetched live for each request and not stored — and we never sell it or use it for advertising. Your store’s access token is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), and all data is transmitted over HTTPS. When you uninstall the app, the token is removed; on a Shopify data-erasure request we delete what we hold for that store.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account.
